Assassin's Creed Origins reviews ( 7 )

ADHGO, Apr 13, 2018

Amazing open world Pyramids adventure in ancient Egypt, the new fighting mechanism is way better than before, although movement still contain some slippery cases, bayek character is great and appealing too, there are several minor issues specially in the texture but will not affect the play experience, every thing is new in this game, and missions are refreshing performance is good so far, with avg 30-34 FPS during game play: i7 4900MQ 2.8 GHZ GPU: GTX 780m 4GB RAM: 32GB

Wow, what a impresive game. For me it's superb. It represents perfecty the ancient world, a mix between GTA V and Tomb Raider. PROS: A huge map with each unique locations + Beautiful graphics and wonderful enviroment + Arrow control + Hawk vison + Interesting and varied side missions + Automatic riding option + Easy travel through the world (few time going to one place to another, even walking) + So many things to do and explore that you'll be a looooot of time playing it CONS: total manual camera and no option to change it (you have to move it continuously with the right stick)

Played for a couple hours I have no issues at all, everything runs smooth for me and the game has not crashed. My Rig CPU: AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Clocked 4.2Ghz 8 Core RAM: 12GB Ram GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050 TI SC 4GB GDDR5 SSD Drive OS + Hybrid Secondary Drives For Installed Games Visuals are amazing using the autoconfigured preset which was high for everything getting 50-65 FPS on high settings even during combat. Using Uplay client to play the game not steam version. Uplay client built games just run better on Uplay and steam users always complain about more bugs on the steam version. I love that you get flashback missions not just cutscenes when something big happens like killing a high-rank enemy, giving you a backstory to the point of why your taking down this high rank masked one etc. the map is quite big bigger than any AC universe and if you wanna 100% this game then it will take you some time. Struggling a little with combat I'm so used to countering then killing like all the other AC games if you think the combat is simple compared to the other games your in for a little surprise! YES! there is a Helix credit system, so for people who don't have time to grind can buy in-game currency to spend and some weapons can be unlocked via Uplay credits which are free to earn via your Uplay account anyway. I personally don't buy in-game content at all and only believe that if micro-transactions are on multiplayer games it is unfair.... for single player games the only things you buy with your real money for in-game currency..... if you even want to buy them only affects your personal experience for campaign, not like GTA Online, Battlefield, Battlefront 1 & 2 Loot Packs etc etc so for single player content i don't mind but I personally don't buy content from any game I play! Apart from that 10/10 definately an upgrade for syndicate and the bugged monster Unity! Would recommend.

This is my new favorite AC game in the series with Black Flag hot on its heels. Such an incredible world they crafted in Origins. Far better than Unity & Syndicate, both of which I got bored with and never finished. The gameplay and combat are by far the best they've ever been. I've sunken 30 hours into this game and I still have areas to explore. My only gripe with this game is that the cut scenes are laggy 75% of the time. I'm running this on an i7 & GTX1080 so the game runs amazingly well, just lags in cutscenes. Annoying, but bearable. I see a lot about the DRM issues but I've got a pretty beastly machine so I haven't really run into those problems.

In my opinion the direction they took with Origins was a good one. However, it is still plagued by a large amount of bugs. It also requires pretty powerful hardware to play at a decent frame rate. I have about 30 hours so far in the game and I enjoy the game play much more than past AC titles, but I wouldn't say its for everyone. Overall a good entry in the franchise that unfortunately falls short due to a lack of polish. 7/10

Beautiful game, BORING world, ZERO detail, side quest farm and so on. If you want to play a real open world game rich with story and details then kingdom come deliverance is much much much better.

The game is designed using 'free-to-pay' model. Player either spend 1000 hours to farm level enough to pass level check to access STORY MISSION. Or pay additional 100$ to get to that level instantly.
