Duke Nukem 3D reviews ( 6 )

A classic. I can still remember some of the dialogue years later. "Shake it baby", or "Do you wanna dance?", and the classic "That's gotta hurt". The game featured 28 levels, and an extra 11 levels were added later. The wide open levels kept me playing for hours, especially since I was obsessed with finding every hidden area in the game. Duke Nukem and Lo Wang (from Shadow Warrier) were my two favorite characters from the 90's era. "You want to wash Wang, or you want to watch Wang wash wang?"

What a game, so original and fun to play... great level design and action packed to the teeth! The Duke is next to Lara Croft the biggest star from the PS1 era, I spend hours running around in claustrophobic corridors wondering where I'm supposed to go. Oh, and you just gotta love his funny quotes: - "Damn, I'm looking good!" - " It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum. And I'm all out of gum." -

The first FPS, that is "doom-like" as they used to be called, to feature such an extensive interactivity! Turn lights on or off, shrink to the size of a mouse to go through pipes, freeze your enemies and blow them to pieces, or kick ass (you can actually high kick your enemies anytime through a hotkey) !

Duke Nukem 3D is a masterpiece in gaming. I own an original copy of this, and am still playing it today. Its one liners, fun combat, remarkable level design and quirky humour still keeps me playing. This game is a classic, and will be remembered for years to come. Don't download this off the net, pay good money for it, and believe me, it is worth every dollar.

Duke Nukem 3D is a prime example, how modern FPS should be designed. The game has really nice none linear levels, there are multiple paths that leads to the end. There are tons of secret places too, really worthy to find them because of the items mostly. The game has a really fun humor and it's full of adult content. The graphics are obsolete of course, but it was good for its age and there are Windows and Linux ports that allows to use HD textures and 3D models instead of sprites, also new lighting system can be added. Sounds are OK, the voice acting is great! Jon St. John did a great job to vocalize Duke. The music is good too. What about the gameplay? You run, you shoot, you kick, you collect keycards, you womanize, you kick some a$$! The gameplay is fast paced and fun. It's still fun in both single and multiplayer. There are fan-made programs that makes easier to host rooms for multiplayer and they work most of the ports. The difficulty level can be pretty easy and very hard. Fortunately, Duke 3D has enough options for this, so both hardcore gamers and casuals can enjoy the challenge. The game is highly recommended, and it's way better than many modern first person shooters. No other games are like DN3D.

game doesnt even deserve my time. fucking awful. first of all, the aliens look like pigs, and if that wasn't enough for you, duke nukem is pretty lame. he has this nerdy blonde buzzcut and twerp-trousers, it's terrible, I felt no love for the character, and thus didn't care when I dided. the controls were slippery at best, 1/10, bad game. i only enjoyed the strippers
