F1 2019 reviews ( 4 )

good game. I definitely recommend it for any F1 fan. The game has nice graphics and it immersive on ultra wide monitor. I am playing the game on AMD Ryzen 3400g with integrated graphics. The game runs well on my APU. I play the game on high settings with high frame rates. I am trying to get more than 1 point for my Williams team :)

I learned very much about the cars and F1 in general, especially when you turn off assistance-systems. the multiplayer is not so fun, because codemasters f**** up a good matchmaking (its so buggy) and the madness of the other players is very annoying. there is no online-race without a rage-actions

Kerbs that can be used in real races are not available in this game and this is not nice. Okay, maybe i didnt play F12016-17-18, i don't know how it was in the games I counted, but there is no way to save from spins. Online race penalty system is terrible. But, graphics are good. AI is significantly improved from 7th gen games. F2 is really cool. But i thought we can do full season career with F2 before F1 career but we get only 3 F2 races. Disappointing (maybe there is a way to do, but i didnt found anything.) R&D system is good.

So far, this is the best official F1 game. The graphics are good (except for people in cut scenes), and the steering is great and well scaleable. The GP2 part of the story mode disappoints, as you only race a few laps three times, before yo go to F1. Online multiplayer is only acceptable in closed lobbies. Public lobbies are a nightmare. And when the next F1 game comes out, online dies. But don't call this simulation. This is nothing like real life. The reason is the insulting damage system. Because F1 doesn't have the balls to stand up to the sponsors who don't want their precious brand logos scratched, the damage "simulation" in this is a joke. You can damage your front wing of break your suspension. That's it. The whole chassis should able break and crumble realistically (eg. Alonso crash in Australia 2016) depending on how you crash. An unlucky hit on the rear should send cars airborne. Spinning out at high speed and through the gravel should make cars roll over. But nope - cars are always glued to the ground, and having a bend wheel or broken front wing is the most damage that you will see. It's like toy cars. No consequences, no thrill, no danger, no bravery. Just toy cars on the carpet. That is the main reason why I only get a new F1 game every 3-5 years. What's the point if it's always the same outdated and embarrassing damage system, while games like Wreckfest show how it's done?
