Masterpiece. From soundtrack, to gameplay, to art, to the challenge. You can keep going how amazing this game is. Must buy for hardcore gamers. Just buy it

I begged and pleaded with her day after day But she packed my suitcase and sent me on my way She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket. I put my Walkman on and said, "I might as well kick it."

Just perfect, absolutely perfect. The people giving the game bad reviews for it being "too hard" are a bunch of millennial **** Furi's a real game unlike the AAA **** that comes out now. PS the PC games the best since there are no FPS issues and it can run at 4k but the other versions are still good.

Furi is boss-rush mixed with some amount of bullet-hell action. Combat gameplay is almost perfect, although i enjoyed swordplay much more than shooting and dodging projectiles. Controls during exploration/story parts are clunky, but auto-walk really helps with that. Difficulty is high, but very fair. No randomness involved, all fails are caused by your own mistakes. Game is short (if you are not getting stuck at the same boss for hours), but replay value can be huge, since there is a big difference between difficulty levels (not only damage numbers but additional fight phases) and some bosses are so amazing that you might wanna beat them over and over. Overall Furi is fun and satisfying experience.

This game is a must-buy if you like challenging, multi-stage bosses that make you go from character action to bullet hell and back. Every death feels like an accomplishment and only helps you understand attack patterns and get just a stage further until you conquer a new height. The graphics are nothing to write home about, but the style is what takes the cake here. No boss arena will be boring and boss designs (each of which is made by Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki) are memorable. The story here only serves the purpose of leading you along from one boss to another, but even what there is makes you invested in the world. A separate shoutout goes to the beautiful electronic soundtrack by Carpenter Brut, Danger, The Toxic Avenger, Lorn, Scattle, Waveshaper and Kn1ght.

What this game does, it does extremely well. Strung together boss fights with a soundtrack backed by Carpenter Brut (Of Hotline Miami 2 fame), The Toxic Avengers, and even Danger. The controls are extremely tight and fluid. Your screw ups really fell like your fault in the game. Of course, due to the nature of the game, this is not for everyone, but for those that like fast paced action games as well as bullet-hell style shooters, this is a must buy. There is also a review of someone saying that the game is ripping off Donnie Darko, but fails to realize that this game was designed by the same man who does the Afro Samurai manga. Yeah, it may have come out after the movie, but the origin of most of the game is heavily Eastern influences. Why this game gets docked a bit - the controls between bosses are extremely messed up. Absolutely terrible. I don't get how they can make a game feel so great in combat, but clunky just trying to navigate a small space.

I don't see how anyone could give this game a ten to a game with no real plot where all you do is fight the same bosses over and over again till you figure out what you MUST do, otherwise you will be getting ass raped continuously by the game. I'll give that some of the bosses are fun, but most of 'em are complete **** To balance the scale I'll give this a 0. But overall it is a 6.
