Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! reviews ( 4 )
Saw some cool youtube reviews and picked it up in a whim. I was not sure about the $15 price tag because the game looks like a ported mobile game (but the dev site says otherwise) but holy moly wasn't I surprised when the game was actually entertaining. It started a little slow but quickly turns into a weapon making fest and at some point it got grindy in a fun way, and I hated the fact that there's no pause button (please dev, Sims series has the same Fast Forward options, and you always need a pause button to go with them), BUT then again I found out in steam forum that the devs are already working on it. I played a lot of kairosoft game and while this game is somewhat similar, the charm really brings it up. I love it. I finished it but I didn't unlock everything, so I'm gonna give it another go. It's not a perfect game but I love how the devs are super responsive to people's feedback in the forums. A good game by a good developer!
Really engaging and a lot of fun. Relax, laugh or just goof around - love it. Looking forward to the next instalment going into space - should be a blast.
The best way of playing this game is to play it in sessions, especially when you came home from work/college/school, at least that's what i do. Some of those sessions end in 15 minutes, others - in 2 hours. That's all i got to add to others comments. Yes, the game is addictive, challenging and funny.
Addictive, challenging, funny as hell. Yippee kee yay! I had been waiting to buy this game ever since the beta was released. This game was clearly inspired by recettear and game dev tycoon but it definitely sets itself apart by at least a mile, thanks to pretty unique market management system. And the bribe has to be mentioned! it's so fun to try to win the potato version of simon corwell with money :P A nice surprise was when I bought the game and found the game to be quite different than the beta build and the end result was a polished experience from beginning to almost end, as I haven't finished it yet. Also my game was affected by the save game bug and I stopped playing for a day, but then the studio fixed it straight away so it was very nice of them.
