its a great game. It has more character classes, new weapons, dual wielding and it adds a new race! This is a game you'll definitely play if you like old school dungeon crawlers.

If you liked or loved the first you will love this sequel. Very well done and improves on the first tremendously. New classes, a whole lot of new area to explore, doesn't hold your hand, funny antagonist, improved enemy diversity. $25 is too low of a price. I would pay full $60 for this game easy.

This game is very fun. If you love Action RPGs, dungeon crawlers, or RPGs with puzzle elements, you'll love this game. If I had paid 60$ for it, I would feel like I got my money's worth... but it's 22$. It's very polished. The opening CGI looks like it's from a triple-A title. The graphics arn't next-gen, but they're still very good. Many 60$ AAA titles don't have graphics of this caliber (dishonored lol). It is a bit challenging. On normal I've died quite a few times, and I'm a pretty hardcore gamer (dark souls & dark souls 2 vet). It's never cheesy though. Most traps won't kill you outright, but some put you into very bad situations. However, traps are easily visible if you're cautious. Personally, I enjoy the level of difficulty... dying to something makes me want to beat it more. I didn't customize my party (I completely missed that option, I thought the game was a roguelike) at the start, so if you min/max it might be a bit easier. If you enjoyed Dark souls, you'll probably love this game. It doesn't hold your hand. There's tons of collectables and optional loot, which is fantastic. I was the guy in Diablo 2 that had to destroy everything in case something good dropped. There's a shovel, and you can dig EVERYTHING. My only complaint would be that some of the puzzles are a bit unclear, particularly ones that involve signs. It will tell you an adjective, and you'll get 3/4 of them, but the last one just doesn't make sense (happened to me in 4 plagues, thought "cold" should be some type of elemental item). Most of them are fun and understandable, though, so I can forgive that quirk. The grid movement will probably annoy some people, and it can be a little frustrating at times. However, once you get used to it you won't even notice it anymore. It's well done, and feels natural in most of the game. Overall I would give the game a 9.0/10 if this were sold for 50-60$, but selling the game THIS low should be a crime.

Found the first one absolutely brilliant, and this has improved on that. Didn't try and do what many sequels do, it stayed true to what made it so popular the first time and enhanced and tweaked it. Fans of the first MUST play this and anyone looking for a dungeon crawler with RPG elements should give this a go.

First Grimrock was brilliant, and this new one is even better in almost every aspect! More stuff, outside world terrain (not only dungeons), new races, class and skills, new weapons, clever puzzles. This game is great, challenging and fun. If you liked Grimrock 1 or other dungeon crawlers, you will love it. Its awesome. Btw. rotfl at this red review, after ten minutes of playing guy gives 3/10 because of grid movement (sic!). Can MC reviews be any more stupid than that?

Really awesome dungeon crawler - I've played a couple other similar games, and this game is far beyond any of them. It's easy to underestimate how much work is required to make this type of game fun and engaging, but the grimrock developers did a great job with it.

I quit this game after playing for many hours because 1. The rectilinear movement system feels very confining after virtual reality games I've played 2. The many difficult puzzles had no obvious solution so I wound up consulting Internet sites for help way too often 3. The resources available on normal difficulty were way too sparse and the creatures I had to battle were way too hard to be fun. Overall, a frustrating experience and waste of time.
