If you are looking for an adrenalin fueled game, then this may disappoint. If you are looking for a work of art, one that can instill awe and wonder at what it may be like to be isolated on another planet - then you have come to the right place. It is a shame the combat gamers are voting on this title, as it really has nothing to do with their genre or interests. If you enjoy long walks in natural environments - then this title is as close as you will get to enjoying the same experience on another world. Similar to other titles in this genre (Dear Esther), this is a work of contemplation. Destined to be a classic.

If you're looking to shoot aliens this game is not for you. This game will absorb you with its atmosphere, the feeling of complete and perfect isolation on an alien planet, the unknown, oxygen running low and death awaiting around the corner. You follow the only lead that you've got - will it be worth it? The slowly unravelling story and the relationship between the two survivors - masterpiece. I gave it 9/10 because of the annoying tendency in story-driven games these days - scary things. Even one potential jumpscare if you're a weakling. I hate scary things...

The game is all about atmosphere, story, exploration, and suspense. Do not expect a high-energy shooter or a truly mind-bending puzzler - the strength of the game is the unique story, the world around the character, and the tension behind the questions the character must answer. I highly recommend it if this is the kind of game you enjoy. If you enjoyed Gone Home, Dear Esther, or To the Moon, Lifeless Planet is probably right up your alley.

The game is good enough to complete without getting too bored, but it's not competing with the big titles. The game is very atmospheric. They managed to create very beautiful scenes if the graphic engine is not up-to-date. The story is quite interesting, but spaced out too much with long moments without new events. The platforming gameplay is ok. A game to try, but not pay full price.

I loved the early access levels when I played a month or so ago. This game had so much potential. Unfortunately the best of the game is in those first few chapters. The mystery and atmosphere that is built up is lost very quickly some 30 minutes or so in. The story line is just not strong enough to carry this game when there is very little danger or jeopardy in the environment. Despite the feeling and sense of large open spaces and as moody and atmospheric our Lifeless Planet is, there is no great joy or reward in exploring it beyond the obvious path. As a gentle diversion this game just about hangs together. Some of the platforming elements are fun(ish) as are one or two of the "puzzles", there are also dotted around the game just enough "oooh" moments to bring you back to play again. The music, when it is there,is the real star of the show. What stops this being a VERY low score is that this is the work of a single Dev, and that at the core of Lifeless Planet is a kernel of a really great game. Is it worth the money? No not right now, but if you get a chance to pick it up for half price later on then might be worth a little look see.

It's a platformer. It's a walking simulator. It is NOT an action/adventure story-driven game. Yeah, there's a story, and it had potential, but you'll literally spend the entire game jumping to and from various rocks and mounds. It's a five-hour-long platformer with beige mountains and valleys as scenery. The "puzzles" are nothing more than placing a glowing green rock in a glowing green hole followed by a lot of jogging, or simply more platforming. Honestly, the game would've been better if it was a condensed version that focused more on the story, rather than the endless miles of jogging and jumping. It has the contents to make a good thirty-minute game, but it was dragged out, made long and boring. Also, expect the data logs and entries, along with whatever scientific samples you collect, to be wiped whenever you quit the game. Not that they matter, really.

This game should be called "Jumping and walking like an idiot on the Planet" I can't believe I wasted my money in this game =[ Everything is soooo bad in this "thing" (if you can call it a game) that I can't express how much I hate it = The graphics are "mediocre" for a indie game (there are a lot of stunning indie games, this is not one of these) The Story doesn't even worth telling, really, doesn't worth =[ The audio is OK but not great The gameplay does not exist '-' This game should be called "Jumping and walking like an idiot on the Planet" You will walk a lot and jump a lot.. That's it! Nothing more! Except for the countless times you'll die because you'll be stuck on rocks and the HORRIBLE performance drops (seriously, on my HIGH END ENTHUSIAST machine, this game runs at 25 average fps when there are any objects, walls, anything nearby). And sorry for any grammar issues, I'm still learning english :)
