Minecraft: Story Mode - Episode 1: The Order of the Stone reviews ( 7 )

I had to give this a ten to balance out the hate. This game probably deserves more like a 7 but not nearly all the hate its getting now. This is basically a cartoonish walking dead. Everyone loved walking dead so don't hate this game tell tales did a good job.

As a continuous Minecraft-Player this game was an instant-buy for me and i am in no way disappointed. I have not played any other TellTaleGames Games, nor do i enjoy quick-time events. Still this game really caught me with its story. It may be clearly aimed at younger people (which i am no longer counting myself towards with 18 years) but if you do like Minecraft, it is worth its money so far. The Graphics reach what all fans have created in awesome animations, but still stays mostly true to the Minecraft universe - 9.5/10 The story has yet to unfold as this is part 1 of 5, but so far i am pleased - current rating: 8/10 The Gameplay lacks a lot of interactivity, but that is what a visual novel or story-based game is NOT about. As mentioned before, i hate quick-time events, but these are simple and easy to understand, though i am annoyed by that fact i had to jump with E instead of Space - 7/10 Including the blast i had playing it and the reaction of my friends, i come to a total score of 9/10 and i am looking forward to playing the rest of the story in a universe i learned to love.

The game is fantastic, the story although more children than other games from Telltale is cool and fun, the graphics despite being pixelated, they're cool, and depending on your point of view are up beautiful, I really liked the game and I am anxiously waiting for the next episode.

The first episode of Minecraft story mode was decent. Of course, this is the tutorial stage and the prologue of the story, so the best that it can be is decent. You're introduced to the Main protagonist Jesse (Male or female depending on your choice) and his friends Reuben, Olivia and Axel. Slowly but surely, the game teaches you all the basic gameplay mechanics. QTE's, fighting and how your choices can effect the game. eg: Your choices can impact on if you win the crafting contest. You're also introduced to Petra and Lukas, some more allies of Jesse. Without spoiling too much of the plot, you go to endercon, witherthing breaks out, you go to nether story done! As I said before, this is just the tutorial episode, but it does a decent job of hooking people in. It is a little lackluster though, but trust me on this one. The other episodes are worth your time and money.

This game made me upset due to playing it bc its like playing there previous 2012 game "The Walking Dead" the gameplay is the same you have choices and its like playing the old game but its a Minecraft feel to it. To be honest when I heard about it I thought it was gonna be like playing Minecraft but you have to do stuff to get to new place/levels but your still playing Minecraft i honestly thought is was gonna be a add on to the actual game but it wasn't which made me upset. I love Minecraft honestly but this is gonna make Minecraft look like a bad game which i didn't want happening I'm sorry Telltale games but you just made an older games gameplay and merged it with Minecraft.

+ If you have 5 years old kids + If you dont like playing game and sometimes, you want only use "Q" - It is the worst TT game - Minecraft is only word in the title of game - Stupid story in game, where wasnt story and they "created" it...Terrible music, terrible "actor´s" voices If you like and play Minecraft, dont buy it. Don´t support TT, that doing still the same with different scenery....

Rubbish. Basically a game full of quicktime events and vague choices. Was expecting something semi open world. Got bored real quick. Story wasn't entertaining either. Was more geared towards children, I guess.
