This is the game Markus has been trying to make ever since he went to the new engine in V7. He got all the bugs out and now we finally have a baseball sim I have yet to grow tired of. It does everything and does it well. Brilliant work Markus.

The only game I play on my PC. Play it your way. Get as deep into your created baseball universe as you feel comfortable with.Sometimes I play out each game, sometimes just from the last couple of innings. Sometimes I will sim days or weeks if I think my team can cope without being micro managed. Excellent game....second to none.

I've been playing OOTP since version 4. The first time I played it I thought it was the perfect baseball sim available on the market. And it was. But it just gets so much better with every new release that it's unbelievable. If you're a fan of baseball, and are interested in the idea of managing your own franchise on the greatest scale possible, there's no substitute for OOTP. Do yourself a favour and try OOTP today. They're so confident you'll like it that they're giving OOTP 8 away for free! That's a great game and I paid $40 for it 2 years ago! Overall I'd say I've put in at least 1000 hours of gameplay into OOTP over the last 6 years. You won't be disappointed.

OOTP continues to be the best baseball sim on the market. If you've ever wanted to try your hand at being a GM or manager, this is the perfect game to see how you might fare. The sim model in OOTP 10 is better than I have seen in any game to date and the new financial and pitching dynamics really help the authenticity of the game. This is the best baseball sim on the market.

An outstanding sports management sim that will have baseball enthusiasts and stats-hungry fans drooling over their keyboards. I was pleasantly shocked by the way that this game sucked me in, had me screaming at the computer screen as my 22 year old phenom pitcher blew out his arm and was lost for an entire season, had me cheering at the solo shot walk-off home run that sent my team into the playoffs. Aspiring GMs look no further--OOTP 10 is far and away the best in its class, rivaling the depth and richness of the other front-runner in this genre, Football Manager 2009 by Sports Interactive.

Absolutely awesome baseball simulation. Every detail of real life major league baseball is covered, and with this new version, it even has individual pitch ratings for starters and relievers. By GM'ing a team in OOTP X, you gain a realistic insight into how a real life GM makes roster decisions and trades. It is that realistic. Since every detail is covered, you'll come to understand how arbitration works, the rule 5 draft, waivers, the 40-man roster, player development, drafting, scouting, etc. Definitely a must have if you are a baseball fan. With hundreds of online leagues, you'll be able to GM a team up against other people, and make trades with real human GM's. Definitely worth the price.

It's the best baseball text sim game on the market. It's also the second worse since it has almost no competition. 6 months into the latest release and major bugs still abound. And don't you dare bring any problems you have with the games to the boards. With major jerks like Maleis Dei and The Wolf out there to act like INTERNET TUFF GUIZ, and raving fanbois who won't take any critisism lightly, the few helpful board members are quite outnumbered.
