Really enjoyed this first episode, much closer to what resident evil once was rather than the Michael Bay explosion garbage 6 is. I thought the beginning environments, despite what has been said, were actually quite refreshingly simple yet sinister at the same time. That is probably the best part of this game, there has been far less of the convoluted nonsense of recent RE games - the story thus far has been executed really well. It is also worth noting the graphics are not nearly as bad on a PC as they looked in the demo versions, they are not next-gen but they are definitely acceptable. I don't necessarily agree with Barry's new voice actor but his character is really good nonetheless, it feels like Barry and plays like him with his classic Magnum. I hope they can continue to deliver the sorts of tension, suspense and horror in this first episode into the others (the 'next time' did not look very good imo). I have experienced these frame drops and how they are 'unplayable' and I call out BS there, it is not 'unplayable' people are whining like they always do when a new RE game comes out. The frame rate drops were barely noticeable on my middle of the line rig (Nvidia GTX 760 - I5 2.6k (Quad core) processor). This nonsense about the cursor is also overinflated, it only appears outside of combat and unless you are deliberately picking up on it, it fades into the background (yes it shouldn't be there but it is not that big a deal, honestly) If you preferred old school resident evil horror then this is the game you should look at and hopefully invest in. Capcom needs to know this is the direction people want, good story telling with honest horror/survival themes which do not outstay their welcome.

Genuinely enjoyable so far. An interesting hybrid of RE6 and older RE titles. Use of prerendered video for some sections is a little disappointing considering how much of RE6 was rendered in realtime. UI on PC is excellent. Performance is uneven, but Capcom have a good history when it comes to fixing their PC games post-release - especially Resident Evil titles. I'm aware the missing co-op may upset some, but as a solo player it doesn't concern me. I genuinely hope Capcom can work something out for players who want it, though.

1-Frame rate stutters - really poor.Especially near the light sources. 2-Mouse Cursor always visible. 3-Pre-order artbook and soundtrack selection missing -nothing in game folder. Was verifying game cache -still nothing .Preorder box set for hawe nothing(I remember ABT Wesker :) ) -GoooD!!! 4-Steam cards banned. Good start! What are You doing guys all that time? Bravo Capcom!Bravissimo!!! Not a bad game but with a load of problems.Terrible story , bad controls , short game but cheap at least. Unstable frame rate , bad graphics.I enjoyed the game so far, just not a lot.

Resident Evil has been on somewhat of a comeback with the recent releases from Capcom in the past few months. Until this disaster of a PC port, regardless of the Co-op features missing from the game. The Frame Rate is the main issue with this title as more than half of people who have played the game have experienced a frames per sec drop from 60 to less than 15. The game shutters due to this and at times down right crashes your PC. Which is a shame since the game once it behaves itself in a great deal of fun for the price. With Capcom's track record of never patching games they port to PC properly, I fell this game should be avoided on PC.

I'm not even far in but the A.I partner you're stuck with is ruining the game for me entirely. I want to play on Survival mode and be accountable for myself, not incredibly slow A.I that's too slow/unresponsive to RUN when I do, and too stupid to know to dodge or at least move away from danger. This is the #1 thing that has destroyed this experience for me. Other than that, I could have looked past the bad dialogue and extremely close up field of view.
