Played Dota for 5 years then Dota 2 since beta. Thought SMITE would be meh, casual slow dota clone like League. But thats completely different game! Yes its kinda casual, and lots of pure fun modes, but the thing is how it plays! Its awesome! I highly recommend it to the people who love fast paced action. All the positive things can't be described in words. You need to feel it. The downside is that there are too much generic skills like hit all enemies in a line/cone/around you. But it compensated by insane non-standard skills and awesome ultimates. Like if you play Thanatos, god of death - your ultimate is flying up above the map (!) fly for 5 seconds and then drop down in a target location killing enemies below a certain amount of hp/stunning and damaging them. And there are many skills like this. Every hero is truly unique besides generic skills, mentioned above. Play it!

Great game especially for a newly launched officially game, with apparently many more god set for release has me looking forward to whats to come. It's not a LOL/DOTA2 clone, and yes lots of gods have jump abilities but as its also TPS it's kind of expected that you need movement abilities on the various gods to not make the game feel slow. There is some balance issues i think still but nothing game breaking, basically ymir needs a nerf to damage or cc cause he has too much of both, and loki needs to have some form of counterplay added to his ult. beyond that so far all the gods feel equally powerful and balanced. I personally prefer Arena mode than Conquest but thats because i just love the big open fighting field it's alot easier to drop into and learn the gods than a conquest game that is a lot more .... organization requiring like lol/dota would be..

The classes and large character set are very balanced, and the third person view adds an element of control in a MOBA i've never had. If you even remotely enjoy MOBAs and like Third person games, this game will hook you very quickly. I put 23 hours in 3 days.

This game is honestly the one I have been waiting for. Its tactical, fun, requires accuracy and skill, and always offers new experiences. The multitude of Gods available to play as really keep things fresh for a very long time as their skill sets are all well thought out and unique. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys variety of playstyle choices in a competitive but friendly environment. EREZ 4 president

Once again, another great MOBA comes along that is simply so unique that it makes me love the genre again. The good thing about SMITE in my opinion, is that it feels more like an action game than a pure MOBA, and in my opinion, that's a great thing because I was really getting tired of the constant samey MOBA experiences. Controlling your hero feels more like you are actually in control, not just giving commands to a hero. Every auto-attack and skill use feels good, because you are in control. The game features *now* great graphics, fluid movement, good interface and a huge variety of items and active skills to customize your hero. The game barely had any of those things 2-3 years ago, but Hi-Rez put their head to it and made the game so much more than what it was. It's really great. The VGS (voice guided system) is pure gold. Probably one of the best features that I have seen in any MOBA, ever. It allows for quick communication with your team without hindering the gameplay at all. All the commands are appropriately labelled and you can learn the whole system quickly. This increases the whole cooperation with your team, without voice chat in the game. You can even customize the V commands with a voice pack of your choice by your favourite gods. Great thing about this game, is that it's based on mythology, and all the gods you know and love are back in and fighting with each other. Before, the UI, matchmaking and graphics were my main gripes with this game, but Hi-Rez is making constant HUGE updates with revamped graphics, characters , maps, game modes , skins, etc. My main two gripes with this game are kind of minor, but they are there: HORRIBLE voice acting except for few characters like Tyr, and silly auto attack animations which seem be needlessly spectacular (like, does my character really need to do a 720 degrees backflip every other auto attack? Hi-Rez is getting better, but some AAA are still silly). SMITE also has a great business model, a step up from LoL. You can not only buy characters with in-game currency and real currency, but you can also rent gods and pay a lifetime fee of £20 and get every god + every future god in the game. Overall, SMITE is a great f2p package and everybody who loves MOBA games AND action games should check it out, it's really fun.

Long waits for a game and its very rare to have a close game you either win really easily or get smashed. If the game had a better matchmacking system and more of a player base the game would be less frustrating. Games are over too quick or you spend ages getting beaten badly and no one wants to surrender. Normally the guys that have overfed the opposition. Theres better MOBAs out there I'd strongly recommend going for lol or dota. Give this one a miss
