South Park: The Stick of Truth reviews ( 7 )

This game is Oustanding. My first thought was, What?! $60 for a game about poop jokes? But No, I haven't had this much fun in an RPG since the Original Pokemon, and that's what this game keeps reminding me of, with the added fun of the ENTIRE South Park universe. EVERYTHING IS HERE, everything from Tom's Rhinoplasty, to Al Gore hiding in the Bushes. Every line of Dialogue brings a chuckle after another, and It's all done right. The Combat is turn based, and s executed in a fun and engaging way, there is no waiting for the enemy to take their turn, you're constantly engaged with attempting to block enemy attacks and countering. For the first hour I just looked through Cartmans house, Played the "taking a **** minigame, then playing with his moms **** Literally Skyrim+Pokemon= This game

nice bonus game for the fractured butt whole sequel plays well but to do think the combat in the fractured butt whole is better the combat here is too simple and easy to predict which kinda makes it more boring.

There was a lot of hype for this game. It had been in development for a while, and is based on a very popular, highly controversial show that never fail to entertain and shock. To put it simply: if you love RPG's, and you love South Park, you will love this game. The attention to detail is remarkable. I find myself laughing pretty much the entire time I play the game. It is not simply a funny game though. This game is an excellent RPG, with combat that is turn based, but still has you involved enough in timing critical attacks and other elements. Overall, great game. It is addicting, and very entertaining,

Very good game! You can easily lose a good amount of hours in it enjoyably. I would recommend getting it on steam for sale like i did since it doesn't have much play back value, well maybe after 6 months or so i might play it again.

The overall game is good. Its similar to a 1990's Japanese RPG for combat. The story line is funny. The first time I used Cartman's special flame attack, I had a hard time mashing the W button to fire it off because I was laughing so hard. If you buy the game you will definitely like it. One thing of note, the mini-games are required to advance in the game and they are not easy. I had to go to the web to get instructions on how to finish out the poorly worded instructions in game to complete them. The inventory system is abysmal, especially the selling part. If Obsidian had fixed these 2 glaring issues, they'd have gotten a 10 from me.

It is South Park - and that should be enough for any fan. However, if you are not a fan - i think you will still enjoy the game. As an RPG - it is not. It is rather a highly thematic (South Park) interactive adventure, although the basic elements of an RPG are satirized with good skill, which provides for a fun game. Story is linear, unlike in a self-respecting RPG, and the replayability is pointless. But i enjoyed South Park the Stick of Truth immensely, and give it my recommendations - fan or not.

The game is great from what I was able to play (for hardcore Southpartk fans only mind you) but unfortunately I got stuck at the anal probe part of the game because of the stupid qte's where I almost broke my fingers pressing buttons and it doesn't work and completely broke my mood and game since you can't change freely from gamepad to keyboard since there is no option for it in the game (in the year 2014 unbelievable) and I'm not going to unplug my gamepad just for this part. If you are going to make a game for the pc than make it with pc options in mind ******.
