Sure the combat upgrade system has tons and tons of bugs and has caused many players considerable headaches. But its time people stopped grubbling and lived with it. The new expansion offers a new planet and space zone as well as thousands of new items. It is an expansion long overdue. Planets have become overused so this was a fresh breeze in terms of gameplay.

Initially your first 20 minutes of playing this expansion will make you wonder why Sony bothered. An hour later and you'll find a whole new lease of life in a game that had started to become stale. Now Jump to Lightspeed has some meaning, combat (when taking advantage of it's new features) is more tense and tactical and quests are now long term investments rather than head to waypoint, kill, return. Give this some time and you'll be rewarded.

A disastrous upgrade has seen many long term players quitting!. This used to be quite simply the best on the market. Now it has been dumbed down and if heads are not rolling at sony i might think it a plot to evacuate the games market. Do not be tempted until you hear different.

An awful combat upgrade marks the death of star wars galaxies. The devs completly ignored 70% of their player base and pushed it forward, and killed any individuality of the game, making it just like any other MMO on the market, except with a boring slow combat system, no real plot, and only content now being on kashyyyk. A game I would suggest avoiding at all costs.

CU ruined the entire game and ignoring the cu's testers requests to ditch the hard level system, add back in a limited combat que and give us the old icons in some fashion. Until they satisfy these 3 major problems almost EVERY tester of the CU had you cannot give this game a passing rating. They ignored the customers, pushed out the cu and ROTW and have not given satisfactory answers or reasoning behind the need for a hard level system in a game previously about crafters and community. IF you enjoyed crafting and community the great interface is all that remains. No matter what you won't top looted crap, which totally negates weapons and armor crafting as viable professions. Those who do it charge way to much for decaying items just to break even. Only viable combat profession now is BH/mixed or Jedi which just saw a major nerf. They complicated smuggling slicing and still have yet to give smugglers ANYTHING TO SMUGGLE! Can you believe these devs still have jobs?

The game has taken the many distinct ideas, the artist and medic classes ,nd made them useless. It has taken the solo player nearly out . The game is now an eq2 clone . I left after being a player since game launch and the game is now dead to me, I would not recommentd this to any one at all, not even my hated enemies...
