When it comes to mechanics, the game resembles games from Bethesda. Everyone wondered before the premiere whether the game would be as good as Fallout New Vegas. I could write to you: The Outer Worlds is even better than New Vegas, better than Fallout 4. It's a real RPG, not an adventure game with RPG elements. Obsidian showed Bethesda how to do role-playing games.
Игра не плохая, но и очень хорошей её не назвать. Разок пройти можно, но на второй она не тянет, несмотря на её вариативность прохождения и множество доп. квестов. Это не то чтобы Fallout на минималках, но до него всё равно не дотягивает (но немного). В целом разок посмотреть можно.
One of the most mediocre experiences I've had in quite some time. Obsidian has been given this inflated reputation of being the reincarnation of Black Isle studios and lets be honest, New Vegas has been their best in show. This game takes every side quest story from every RPG and tries to work them into this title awkwardly. Companions are very generic and forgettable, same with the NPCs and lore. I expected more and what I got was Fallout 4 on a budget.
A very well executed RPG as far as graphics, play, and game systems. 10 hours in and I feel like I still don’t care about the characters or anything that’s going on. It’s pretty boring story wise. Questing isn’t exciting, it’s very old WOW model. Talk to this person. Gather that. Go here. Do this. And the NPCs are pretty uninteresting and dumb.I wanted to love this. I’ll play a few more hours and if I’m still waiting to be hooked, I’m out.
